The 2008-2013 Subaru Impreza, Forester, and Outback with 2.5L engines utilize Stretch Fit belt technology on the A/C compressor drives. Once again, Gates leads the way as the only U.S. aftermarket supplier to offer coverage for these vehicles. Gates revolutionary TwistLock™ technology ensures peak performance and unmatched durability every time.

In addition, Gates has the installation tool available as well! This tool is required for proper installation to avoid damaging the belt. Unlike the OE belt, the Gates tool is available separately so that the technician is not forced to buy a tool every time a belt is installed.

These belts are a highly engineered OE design using TwistLock cord technology. This technology produces a belt that self tensions on the drive and maintains proper tension throughout its life.While this belt might look like a standard Micro-V® belt, it is not interchangeable on these applications. It is sized shorter than standard Micro-V® belts due to the unique design properties needed to allow this belt to self tension. Each application has unique installation instructions. The instructions are printed on the inside of each belt sleeve. It is very important that these instructions are followed so the belt does not become damaged during installation.
